If you’ve been following my writing journey, you know Fall or Fly has been the project closest to my heart this year. Today I’m excited to share a real milestone: Chapter 11 is officially finished, and the story is unfolding in ways that feel more powerful and more honest than I imagined when I first started.
I’ve mapped out seven more chapters, each one carrying the emotional weight, tension, and character growth the story has been building toward. The final arc is planned, the twist is already written (and safely hidden away), and the characters are stepping into their most defining moments.
What Fall or Fly Is About — Without Spoilers
At its core, Fall or Fly is a story about resilience, identity, and the quiet battles people fight when no one is watching. It follows Callie, a young woman navigating the aftermath of choices she never expected to make. Along her journey are characters like Karis, whose presence challenges Callie in ways she doesn’t always expect, and Jace, whose steady warmth becomes a grounding force in her life.
The book explores how people rebuild themselves when life cracks them open. How they learn to trust, to forgive, and to choose who they want to become. It’s emotional, messy, and hopeful in the way real life often is.
Where I Am Now
With Chapter 11 complete, I’m officially past the midpoint of the novel. The remaining chapters are outlined, the emotional beats are clear, and the momentum feels strong. I’ve already written a major twist but I’m keeping that tucked away for the final reveal.
Thank You for Being Here
Writing a debut novel is equal parts thrilling and terrifying, but sharing the journey with you makes it feel possible. I can’t wait for you to meet these characters fully, to walk through their world, and to feel the heartbeat of the story the way I do.
More updates soon and maybe a few behind‑the‑scenes peeks as I dive into the next chapters.
